Development, particularly economic development is a long run process through which GDP of a country increases in long run. The term economic development and economic growth have been used in economic literature as synonyms, but economic growth relates to the enhancement of quantitative aspects of GDP, whereas economic development concerns with both qualitative and quantitative aspects of long run trend of GDP with changing dynamics of production techniques.
