Health Professionals’ Perception of Self-Interest Against Corporate-Interest in Conflict Prevention in Selected Public Hospitals in Bayelsa State, Nigeria

The 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (CFRN)1 is explicit on the need for employees to subordinate their individual interest. In Article 1 in its Fifth Schedule – Code of Conduct for Public Officers, it is stated that “a public officer shall not put himself in a position where his personal interest conflicts with his duties and responsibilities”.
